HIPPY Field Trip & Harvest Celebration
In the month of October, HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters Program) went on a field trip to Safeway and they also celebrated Autumn with their annual "Harvest Festival".

August 2004

Heeia Kindergarten KAMP 2004
On August 24, 2004, KCFC, in partnership with Heeia Elementary School held its annual KAMP (Kindergartners Are Most Precious) at Heeia. KAMP is an orientation for both the parents and children to make the transition to school a little smoother for all. Kindergartners get their first school experience with their parents there with them. They get to interact with other classmates, play interactive learning games with their parents, listen to a story, learn a cheer, meet their teachers, and eat their first school lunch.

Kaneohe Day on the Bay 2004
On Saturday, July 24, 2004 KCFC, in partnership with other Windward-area support agencies hosted the annual community wide celebration "Day on the Bay", an event to inspire and encourage healthy families and friendships in Kane'ohe. The celebration was attended by approximately one thousand, five-hundred (1500) community members and was supported by one-hundred twenty-five (125) volunteers. The celebration included free family activities, a community resource and craft fair, Xtreme Fun, local entertainment, a petting zoo, pony rides and a pizza eating contest (sponsored by Papa John's Pizza).

Volunteer Appreciation Dinner 2004
On May 17, 2004 KCFC held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at Queen Lili`uokalani Children's Center in Kane`ohe. Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers
for donating so generously of your time and energy and for your dedication to the Kaneohe Community Family Center.
