2002 Run & Read for Literacy
On November 3, 2002, KCFC participated in the Run and Read for
Literacy
event which was held at Windward Community College. This event helped to
raise
money for books and newspapers for the schools on the Windward side.
The event consisted of a one-mile walk, a book fair, arts and crafts
activities and read aloud sessions. One of the goals of the event was to
bring families and the community together and to encourage and educate
families on the importance of reading aloud to your child everyday. |
