Community Works in 96744. The Community Works in 96744 Group is a coalition of organizations and individuals from the 96744 zip code area (Kaneohe to Kualoa) that envisions a community where substance abuse is minimized and youth and their families effectively utilize community resources to support healthy lifestyles. Community members are invited to join the Community Works in 96744 group to help (1) set a positive example for youth; (2) practice a healthy lifestyle; and (3) acknowledge that alcohol, tobacco and other drug use is inappropriate in public places such as parks, schools and athletic events. The first Wednesday of the month at 5 PM, PACT Kaneohe Community Family Center located at King Intermediate School, Portable 1, 46-155 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe. Windward Community Children's Council (WCCC). Developed to create a system of care which can quickly identify and address the needs of children and youth with emotional and behavioral needs. Groups and individuals are welcome to share their concerns with WCCC to define issues and plan solutions. Second Tuesday of the month. 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Support Groups

Alzheimers Support Group. Learn more about Alzheimer's and resources that are available. Meetings are on the second Saturday of the month at 10:00AM at PACT Kaneohe Community Family Center located at King Intermediate School, Portable 1, 46-155 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe. For more information on the Alzheimer's Support Group, contact Cynthia Okazaki at 225-9377.

Ohana Caretakers Support Group. All grandparents raising grandchildren are welcome to talk story and gather resources. Second Wednesday of the month. 9 AM. Queen Lili'uokalani Children's Center. 46-316 Haiku Rd, Kane'ohe. Kailua and Waimanalo groups also available. Please call 234-2207 for more information.

Huikakoo (Grief Support Group). Provides safe places where children and teens can meet others who are also dealing with tragic loss. A parent support group is available at the same time.
